How do I purchase IRW products?

Is IRW available in other countries?
I Remember When is currently only available in the United States (including Puerto Rico and Guam) and overseas military installations.

Why should I join IRW?  
Do you love to scrapbook?  Taking pictures and recording the memories and stories that go along with the pictures is a fun hobby, but it can become expensive to add artistic elements to your pictures and journaling.  Join I Remember When and get a discount on your personal scrapbooking supplies!  Or you can take your hobby to the next level by turning it into a business.  Being an instructor with IRW means you can build your business, your way. 

What if  I just want to buy products for myself?
I Remember When has two distinct programs – a Business Builder program and a Hobbyist program.  The Business Builder program provides training, inspiration, personalized attention and focus for those instructors who are actively interested in creating and building their own business. The Hobbyist program provides the products, camaraderie and creativity that IRW is known for, without the need to meet minimums to remain "active".

How do I become an instructor?
Becoming an instructor is easy.  Just contact our Home Office or a current instructor for a copy of our instructor agreement, fill it out and send it in. 

What are the minimums?
Business Builders have a $75 instructor cost minimum per month.  Hobbyists have no minimum requirements.

What comes in my starter kit?
Our Business Builder starter kit includes all the business supplies that you need to get your business going: 25 catalogs, 25 supplements, 25 Hostess Brochures, 25 Hostess Order Forms, 25 Invitations, 25 Customer Order Forms, 25 Instructor Brochures, over $100 in Xyron products and a training manual with Quick-Start Guide, as well as a CD with important  business forms and flyers.  The cost of the kit is $99. 
Hobbyists receive a Quick Start Guide and one copy of each of our current catalog and supplement.  The cost is $25 per year.

Are instructors required to carry inventory?
I Remember When allows our instructors to build their business their way. While instructors benefit from having products on hand for their customers to purchase, you are not required to carry an inventory and may choose to sell directly from our catalogs.

Are there hostess benefits available for my customers?
Yes, I Remember When has a wonderful Hostess Program available for Business Builders.  See an instructor for more details and a copy of our Hostess Brochure.

What business/leadership opportunities are available with IRW?
I Remember When offers recruiting opportunities and has a State Representative program, a Design Team, and our IRW Leadership Circle.

What support is available to me as an instructor?
IRW offers its instructors the best personal attention in the industry.  All instructors have access to an online forum and a supportive and available Home Office staff. Each instructor is assigned to a “team” of women and their upline is available to answer questions and provide support. Training sessions via phone, internet and regional gatherings are regularly offered by the Home Office to motivate and help promote your business. 

What are the shipping terms and policies?
Shipping rates are based on order total and a chart is available for reference by our instructors.  Our general turn-around time on orders is 24 hours.  Orders will NOT be shipped before payment is received.

What is the return policy?
We offer a money-back guarantee for any product damaged in shipping from our warehouse to the instructor.  Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.  Order discrepancies must be resolved within 5 days of delivery.

Does IRW offer a money-back guarantee on new kits?
New instructors have 48 hours from receipt of their instructor agreement to withdraw from the company.  After 48 hours, no refunds on shipped kits will be issued.

Are there incentives for sales/recruiting?
IRW has a five-tiered commission structure that rewards uplines with monthly commission checks, increased discounts, and additional benefits.  In addition, IRW holds contests for sales and recruiting.  These incentives are announced in our monthly newsletters and are available to our Business Builders.

Are there sales quotas?
Our instructors are not required to turn in sales data.

As an instructor am I required to submit taxes to my state?
I Remember When instructors are required to submit their own taxes to their individual states. 

As an instructor, how do I order my products?
Ordering is handled through an online ordering system – www.irwstore.com  This is for all orders, including personal, inventory and customer as well as business supplies.

How often are new products and catalogs released?
Our core catalog is released twice a year and includes items such as albums, cardstock, tools, adhesives and more.  We also release a mini-supplement at the beginning of each month with the latest papers, embellishments and other cool new products.

Does IRW offer websites and/or emails to their instructors?
IRW instructors have the opportunity to share information about their business through personalized web pages. Features include room for five gallery photos (a great way to show customers any upcoming class projects), an area to list any sales, specials, or events they are having, as well as a page to share their own personal IRW story or any other personal information they choose to share about themselves.

IRW also allows instructors to create their own websites.  Instructor websites must follow the correct branding guidelines and receive approval from the Home Office.  Websites are monitored on a monthly basis for compliance.
I Remember When email addresses are available at a reasonable cost to our Business Builders.

How is information distributed to all Instructors?
Information is shared from the Home Office with all instructors on the forum and in a monthly newsletter released on the first working day of each month.
 
What are the Forums?
As an IRW instructor, you have access to the IRW online forums.  The forums are an incredible support system whether you are a hobbyist or building your business.  Besides receiving and sharing scrapbook tips, you can find business building ideas, tax help, project ideas, swaps, prayers and praise, and more.  The forum is a place where the IRW family communicates and gets together.

Does IRW have a non-compete clause?
I Remember When does not have a non-compete clause.  However, we strictly enforce and support the non-compete clauses of other companies.  In addition, instructors may not have a spouse/parent/child/other family member residing in the home who is an instructor/demonstrator/consultant for another scrapbooking/stamping related direct sales company that has a non-compete clause.

Does IRW have a partnership with Xyron?
In July 2005 I Remember When formed a partnership with Xyron, a Scottsdale, Arizona based company that produces and specializes in innovative products for hobbyists and crafting professionals.  Xyron products include the Design Runner, Personal Cutting System, and the Wishblade.  The partnership with Xyron and IRW allows us to gain a unique edge in the direct sales market. 

Where is the company located?
IRW’s shipping facility and business center is located Arizona.  IRW’s Home Office Staff is located in Arizona, Georgia and Oregon.
